Ocean Protect

Active filters

Every year, 25,000 tonnes of sunscreen are dumped into our oceans. Gallons and gallons of product, irreparably damaging the marine ecosystem.

The first thing to look for when choosing a sunscreen is its UV filter. A sunscreen is less harmful to the environment if it contains mineral UV filters. The more natural the sunscreen, the more biodegradable it is. And the more biodegradable it is, the less it pollutes the environment. The tube of cream itself counts too! We opt for brands that use at least recyclable materials, and even better, organic materials. Today, many brands claim to be ocean-friendly  (LA ROSEE, SUNTRIBE).
