Joints

Active filters

A joint is the connection between the ends of two bones. These are covered with cartilage. This cartilage has two essential functions: to enable the bones to glide, and to absorb pressure thanks to its resistance and elasticity.

Cartilage is constantly being renewed, even in the elderly. Elasticity is due to the proteoglycans or sponges that go hand in hand with collagen fibers. Chondrocytes enable cartilage to constantly renew itself.

Osteoarthritis occurs when cartilage becomes less smooth, or when cartilage debris is found in the joint.

The onset of osteoarthritis occurs between the ages of 50 and 60. Heredity, overweight, high-level sport, inactivity and aging all trigger or aggravate this erosion.

2 KEY ingredients :

Glucosamine, naturally present in the body and formed from glucose and glutamine. It is found in the shells of crustaceans. Cartilage maintenance role

Chondroitin reduces inflammatory symptoms.

Osteoarthritis can be prevented by eating fruit and vegetables rich in antioxidants, which combat the body's ageing process.

A daily intake of OMEGA 3 (DHA) to limit the inflammatory process is also necessary, as is regular physical activity such as walking or swimming.
